Paper Plate Angels

There is something magical about the winter months that just want me to stay indoors and get crafty with or without my children. Doing the activities for advent is a wonderful excuse (as if I needed one) for getting crafty with my children.

Paper plates… What a wondrous material to have in the craft box. The can be made into all sorts of things. In fact, I’m not even sure whether J knows what their true function is!
This particular craft is a little more challenging for toddlers, but only due to the cutting and folding.

Materials:

Paper plate
Pencil
Scissors
Felt tips
Wool
Glitter glue
Christmas/ angelic decorations

To Make:

Copy the template onto the paper plate. (I used a glue stick to get the head exactly round.)

Draw on the face and stick hair onto the back of the head.

Decorate the semi-circle with glitter, gem stickers, stars etc.

Bend the semi-circle round and slide it together at the slits. (Grown ups might need to help on this one.)

Staple/ sticky tape the angel dress together to guarantee that it remains standing.

Ta-da, a quick craft activity, that doubles as a tree ornament.

About Cheryl

I am a child of God, a wife and a mother of 4 children. Some days are good. Some days are frustrating. Some days are just plain insane. In between the mayhem, I loved to go for walks with our mutt, potter in the garden and enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. That all changed in August 2012 when we waved goodbye to our mutt and garden, our eldest at Uni in Gloucester and moved to Tokyo for 4 months. And yes- we are still here...
