Marriage Challenge Week 2

So this week so far has been a lot more fun!
This one I can do!
As I mentioned last week – finding encouraging words is a challenge.
But finding creative ways…

Whoop Whoop! I can do this!

So far I have:

1: Sent him an email, simply stating that he is an amazing husband and that I love him.

2: Dropped a note on pretty paper saying how much I appreciated him providing for the family.

3: Create a collage in Photoshop of various pictures of me smiling (he loves my smile!) stating “Every time I think of you, I smile. I love you”

For the remaining days, I will probably:
: Make and write do a couple more love notes each one describing different qualities that I love and respect him for.
: Write a poem.
: Serenade him with our song… OK, maybe not…

I am beginning to notice a change in hubby. He seems… hmmm… more at ease, happier. Despite having a really stressful week.
I’ve noticed a change in me too. There have been times when I’ve grumbled to myself about something he has or hasn’t done and I’ve stopped myself and thought “No, Marriage Challenge, think positive thoughts”

Worth continuing…

If you are doing the challenge- I would love to hear what you are doing. If you aren’t why don’t you pop over to Women Living Well and give it a go.
You might find it a lot of fun!

About Cheryl

I am a child of God, a wife and a mother of 4 children. Some days are good. Some days are frustrating. Some days are just plain insane. In between the mayhem, I loved to go for walks with our mutt, potter in the garden and enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. That all changed in August 2012 when we waved goodbye to our mutt and garden, our eldest at Uni in Gloucester and moved to Tokyo for 4 months. And yes- we are still here...
